This past weekend we just threw a one of a kind party for a very lucky 3 year old boy! We took our safari party and put a very live spin on it, we brought real animals into our Birthday Room and the children learned, touched, and fed a wide assortment of exotic animals!

What better way to celebrate a children’s clothing line launch than with a fun filled teddy bear tea party.

Who doesn’t love a fun filled carnival?

Our most recent birthday kids certainly do!

We just threw a fabulous 1st birthday party for 2 twins .

The event was fun for children and grown ups of all ages.

Our readers really liked last month’s cake idea! It’s great to see that our readers are taking our ideas not only for their birthday parties but for weddings as well!

Here is a submission from a bride who took bad cake matters into her own hands. Here is Sara’s Story:

This past Saturday we planned a fabulous Marie Antoinette inspired 1st birthday party in Southampton, NY for 48 children and 65 adults.  It was quite a feat, but the party was beautiful.  We didn’t go to Versailles, but we transformed the birthday girl’s backyard into a mini party oasis.

Is it a boy? Is it a girl? This is a highly anticipated answer by the parents and the entire family and friends, but when you are in the doctor’s office, it doesn’t seem as ceremonious as it was when my daughter and son-in-law first found out about their expected baby girl.

A few weeks ago I heard from my manicurist DiDi the most creative way of presenting this information to the parents to be. Her son asked the technician to not tell them the answer in the office.  He gave the technician the name of a baker to call to order a cake with  the inside layers of the cake to be either pink or blue depending on the sex of the baby.

The big event just happened this past weekend and we are thrilled to share it with you! Read on to find out the answer!

We just planned this fabulous party at the New York Fire Museum last week. It was a spectacular party and all 30 kids had  a blast!

We were just written about on the “Retail me Not Insider“! Read the story below or visit the article here.

Invitations stating “your presence is our present” for engagement parties, anniversary celebrations, and other adult-oriented bashes isn’t new, but lately we’re starting to see “No gifts, please!” on birthday party invites for the 10 and under set, too. What’s next? A ban on Pin the Tail on the Donkey? A moratorium on piñatas?

We spoke with Linda Kaye, a top party planner in New York who’s put together kiddie festivities at the Central Park Zoo and the American Museum of Natural History, to hear her take on the trend.

Our Police Museum Parties are truly one-of-a-kind. We just celebrated a special someone’s 4th birthday yesterday with a guest appearance of Spiderman. The party was a total hit and the children were thrilled to have a superhero among them.

Don’t kill the birthday guest

(CNN) -- The job of a children’s birthday party host seems straightforward: Thomas the Tank Engine or princess theme? Traditional yellow cake with icing or ice cream cake? Jelly beans or arts and crafts in the gift bags?

To which we suggest a modern twist: Don’t kill any of your guests.

You may be aware of our Safari Adventure, Cosmic Blast Off, Dinosaur Discoveries and Underwater Treasure parties but what do these parties actually entail? Well, we just threw a fabulous birthday party for a 4 year-old this past weekend, with the underwater treasure theme. Here is a party helper’s story:

This was a very special week-end, I attended the 9th birthday celebration of my granddaughter Chloe. It was a Hawaiian party theme, and her love for party planning came out with so many of the special touches and details she added to the evening.  And what a bold undertaking that was! She invited 12 of her girlfriends for dinner and a sleep over complete with  Hawaiian entertainment.  She planned many activities to keep her guests busy all night long.

We’ve just seen a great party idea for a Kitten’s birthday that we wanted to share with you! We all love our pets and some times a day dedicated just to them is acceptable, especially if it’s just once a year! Take a look at this party from one of our Bakers, it has great ideas for Safari Party, not just for your pets, but children to!
